New law on bad drivers

Transport Secretary Philip Hammond will vow today to target the reckless minority - and get off the backs of law-abiding motorists.

He promised cops new powers to crack down on louts who cause havoc by weaving through traffic, tailgating and undertaking. As well as the £100 fines, banned drivers will have to re-sit their test to get their licence back. Judges will be urged to seize cars from the worst offenders.
